Apple TV’s five hour documentary is an incredibly elaborate take on the life and career of the great filmmaker. Interviewed by Rebecca Miller (the documentary’s director) Scorsese dives deep into his personal life (his early years growing up on Elizabeth Street in New York’s Little Italy is superb) and professional life. The director contemplates morality, violence, saints/sinners, and his professional ups and downs. Not to be missed.
